The five questions everyone has.

Will my dog slide around on it?

Less than on a hammock cover, and here is the honest version. A hammock is slung between the headrests, so it dips in the middle and your dog slides forward every time you brake. Wagon has a rigid board inside, so there is no dip to slide into, and the platform bridges the footwell so paws and legs cannot drop through. The cover itself is held by straps over the headrests. On very slick leather some owners still put a thin rubber mat underneath it — if yours does, tell us and we will help.

Will it fit my car?

It fits most cars, SUVs and trucks — 53.94″ wide by 24.8″ deep, with adjustable straps and no tools needed. It comes in one size, so a full-size truck bench is wider than the cover; everything else it covers door to door. Use the fit finder above, and measure the gap between the front edge of your back seat and the backs of the front seats before you order. If it does not fit yours, send it back within 30 days for a full refund.

Will it crowd the driver’s seat?

It takes up the rear footwell, so be honest with yourself about the space. The platform is 24.8″ deep and rests against the backs of the front seats. Measure that gap first: 24.8″ or more and it lies flat with nothing to change up front; 20–24.8″ and it rests against the front seats, which usually means moving them forward an inch or two; under 20″ and we would rather you asked us first — email hello@wagonpet.com with your car and we will tell you honestly, usually the same day. Either way the 30 days cover it.

How do I clean it?

Wipe it down. The surface is waterproof and scratch-resistant, so mud, hair and spills come off with a damp cloth. Like most new gear it can smell of new material out of the box — give it a day to air out before the first drive.

Protect your new car.

It met all my expectations. It’s held up nicely now for two months and is easy, simple to clean. I appreciate the Velcro slit it has for a dog seatbelt to go through. It has little storage netting for whatever you would want to put there, I personally don’t use it. It protects my leather car seats from my large, heavy pitbull’s claws. And it gives him a little more space to walk and lay down.

Great for our road trip!

Was very sturdy for my two dogs on our road trip from MA to SC and back! It was a little loose fitting on the sides but that did not affect functionality! The quality for the price was phenomenal and I have no concerns about wear and tear! I love the color combo of the brown leather against the black and it overall matches the interior of my car really nicely! Easy to clean too!

Good coverage, lacks sturdiness

I love the packaging of it, the way it folds into the bag or clips for easy removal and storage if wanting to fold it up for people to sit in the back, is super cool. It covers the car well and is great sturdy material. However, the main feature I purchased this for, doesn’t quite suit my needs. I mainly chose this car cover for the hard layer it advertises to have I between the seat. My dog loves to sit as close as possible to me, so not having to worry about filling in that gap was a major selling point to me. It does come with a fold out board but there is no clear place to insert it into the cover to keep it in place. Without the board. The cover is flimsy and cannot support a dog or person the way it is advertised to do. So the only place it logically seems to go is just on top of the seat to try and fill the gap. But at that point it’s not pleasant to the eye and just moves about the car. If that’s the way it’s supposed to go, then it really wouldn’t matter what cover I had.

It's built ok. My dogs are medium sized and I only got this unit because it was on a lightning deal. I didn't need heavy duty. It holds up to my dogs great but I highly doubt it will handle 600 lbs

Haven’t set it up yet but it looks like it’s going to work out just great. Very nice quality and it should hold up well and I love the fact that it comes in its own zippered bag so when it’s not needed, it can be stored away!

Great and spacious for most dogs

I have a puppy who’s still a chewer, and the pocket didn’t last past the first trip. If your dog is strong and anxious, he could probably tear through the fabric with some effort.That said, everything else about it is working great. The floor extender works great, it fits in my Ford Focus with enough extra fabric that it could also be moved to a much larger vehicle. The velcro closures over the seat belt buckles are extremely secure, which was a problem with my last cover. Overall very happy.

Keep your car clean

This was so easy to install. I can easily install it or take it down for someone to ride in the backseat. It keeps my backseat clean so I don’t have to vacuum it out all the tim. I put one in my car and my husband put one in his truck. We both have new vehicles and we did not want them to get dirty from our border collie who loves to go places with us. It is waterproof, which is wonderful because he always has to have a bowl of water wherever we go. Happy dog happy mama happy life.

Great dog carrier that is well made, roomy and protects my SUV's backseats great!

I needed a 2nd dog carrier seat cover to protect my my newer SUV's backseat. The other brand one we already had was a tighter design and I wanted something better with more room. This car seat was exactly what I needed for my two Shiba Inus. Plenty room, comfortable design and quality made. It also offers a sturdy base that slides inside my carrier to provide a stable base for my dogs to stand. Easy installation and removal in the car. When not in use, it folds nicely and stored in my cargo area. Great product. 5 Stars!

A must for dog owners!

Received this the other day, got it installed and it's great! Very easy to put in your vehicle, and the hard bottom is perfect to keep my dogs from falling through. It has pockets to store things and a carrying case as well. The flip up panels on the sides give extra protection for my doors. It looks nice and cleans well. Very sturdy and fit perfectly!

Powerful breed broke car seat belt with this product safety belt

This product fit my Kia Forte, and it is slip resistant and can be easily cleaned. The quality is strong and can fit in a Sedan perfectly. It is a good value for the money however, the car seat piece to lock in the dog to keep safe, ended up being pulled out and broke my seat belt lock. Do not use the car seat belt if you have a powerful dog like a Cane Corso, pitbull, Rottweiler. My cane Corso decided to jump into the front seat and the seat belt slipped right off the seat belt lock and completely damaged it and now I cannot use it.The metal piece is of the seat belt for this product is small which will cause it to slip right out if the dog decides to pull hard on it. This will be great for a small dog not a powerful breed

Kind of deceiving, the hard bottom is only partial and its not made into it, so it slips and slides around. But other than that, it seems to work well.
